Anna laughed. “You got that right!”

She read about how Ginny was seeking to cross Brazil on her plane, the Dragon. Due to a storm and a mechanical malfunction, the plane’s fuel dipped dangerously low. Bradley suggested they lighten the plane. Anna read Ginny’s response.

I hated to lose my plane. And we were so close to our destination! I was sure Bradley was right, that we would have reached it were the Dragon a little lighter. So I endeavored to make it so.

Obviously, I could not have parted with the treasures I’d received. That would be unthinkable! But there was another way. Without asking Bradley’s permission, I gave him the controls to the plane. I put on my parachute (you see, I can be wise on occasion!) and tossed myself out before he could stop me. It was a glorious fall. The door was open between the dragon’s wings, and I soon grew wings of my own as the green jungle rushed up to meet me. And as you can see, I am quite all right. I landed with nothing more than a few bumps and am taking a short break before ankling it to where Bradley has landed the plane. I will share his reaction to my stunt in my next entry.
